ARTivistUS performers Lindsey Wilson, Judy Gorman and Chris Oledude band together with other musicians to present a set of original songs at this 2nd annual event, located on Union Street between Bedford and Rogers Avenues in Crown Heights.

Porch Stomp is an organization committed to the advancement of American folk music and dance. It works to promote the NYC folk scene by highlighting both traditional and contemporary folk music throughout the year. The event is free and talented performers were on all of the “stages” making the day enjoyable!
This venerated festival took place across the weekend of May 27th through May 29th. ARTivistUS client Judy Gorman was asked, again, to present a set. She was joined by ARTivistUS founder Chris “Oledude” Owens on piano and percussion.
Sponsored by the non-profit, A SOULFUL HEART MEMORIALIZING GEORGE FLOYD, JR., INC., this concert at Town Hall honored the legendary Ms. Melba Moore, who also performed. Additional honorees included Broadway powerhouse Irene Gandy; jazz vocalist Rome Neal; multi-platinum album hip-hop artists AB Money and JR [RIF]; Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the New York Amsterdam News, Elinor Ruth Tatum; Bishop James Pullins, Jr. (Church of God In Christ); and Rev. Clinton Miller (Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Brooklyn).
Chris Oledude was joined by a 15-piece ensemble in presenting original works from 1983 to the present. This concert was a benefit for three not-for-profit organizations, The Peoples' Voice Cafe, The Weeksville Heritage Center (in Brooklyn), and Music On The Inside, who each received $1,000 from the proceeds.
Client Tonya Hopkins a/k/a “THE FOOD GRIOT” launched her weekly two-hour show, SAVORY & SWEET, on WURD Radio. This show is a flavorful exploration of food marinated in the Black experience, seared with history and braised in culture.
Pamela Jean Agaloos, Gary David Allard, Fred Arcoleo, Sally Campbell, Bev Grant, Cleo Carol Knopf, Joel Landy, Diane Perry, Gerry Segal, Steve Suffet, and Thelma Ruffin Thomas welcomed PVC members and the general public as the Peoples’ Voice Cafe resumed its regular program of weekly in-person concerts after an 18-month hiatus.
